M.J. Iuppa

M.J. Iuppa is the Director of the Visual and Performing Arts Minor Program at St. John Fisher College. She has been a K-12 teaching artist in area schools since 1986.She received Writers and Books' The Big Pencil Award, honoring her lifelong contributions to Rochester's Literary Community and in 2017, was awarded the New York State Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. She lives on an organic farm in Hamlin, NY.


In 2001, Iuppa's poem "Mother's Dream," a response to Fairfield Porter's The Beginning of the Fields was published in MAG's Voices in the Gallery: Writers on Art.
